Paige's Page
at the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021 I put together a series of short and creative studio sessions. With limited supplies for art direction and creation I opened the small studio space (my converted kitchen and office) into a studio where I could keep working at creating high number of beautifully lit and retouched portraits.
The goal was to hone my skills in a confined space for lighting, direction and an atmospheric photograph, one that would encapsulate the viewer and transport them into another world.
Highlights: Paige is an experienced model with the ability to transport the viewer to another world easily. Working with someone experienced in creating experiential looks makes it easier for me to focus on where I'm focusing my lens, directing the light and balancing out the world I've created around them.
Challenges: a lack of narrative, diversity and creating a unique narrative under pressed time. it was difficult to make a story from nothing, however the focus was to become better at practically creating sets and images conceptually if it had a heading or direction it'd be easier to create sets and ideas.
Gear Used: Canon 5Dmkiii, Canon f2.8 70-200mm mkii, 2xGodox SK300, A Godox AD200 and various modifiers and cellophane sheets to add gel like colour.
